Well this is the reality of it. This lovingly crafted piece of home-made UK hip-hop has spawned absolutely loads of mashups / remixes / re-edits. Just shows there’s nowt as queer as folk eh. Oh, and just to prove that entrepreneurialism is…
New MacBook Pro
I’m very lucky. I got a new computer. It’s a shiny new Intel-based MacBook Pro. I have to say I’ve not noticed that I’m getting more work done in a shorter period of time. But I’m sure I will eventually, perhaps. My favourite feature is…
Busy not blogging
I’m faced with a daily paradox at the moment: the busier I get (sometimes doing quite interesting stuff) the less time I find that I have to blog about it. I need to get better at putting aside a few minutes a day to keep the site up to…
Free AppZapper
One digital life reports on a really neat promotion run by MacZot. They reduced the price of the Appzapper application by 5 cents for every blog that linked to the site. Mac bloggers went nuts for it and the price went down to completely…
That’s not very nice…
Spotted this on the wall of Weiden & Kennedy’s London office. Not sure I agree 100%…
Sickbag Graffiti
sickbag graffiti I saw this decorated sick bag stuck on a lamp post on my way to work. It made me laugh (especially as I was feeling a little sick at the time myself).…
NSPCC – Dream Auction
Here’s a little (in size) project Poke have done for the NSPCC. The NSPCC Dream Auction is aiming to raise a huge amount of money to help to end cruelty to children. There’s a number of ways to get involved, from a huge gala auction at the…
Tivoli iSongBook
I really like this new Tivoli iSongBook, it’s an iPod speaker system plus radio (edit: I’ve just realised it’s not new at all). There’s so many iPod speaker systems out there, but none of them really do it for me. Even the lastest Apple…
First Download Only No.1
I know I’m a day late, but forgive me, I’ve been away. The BBC write about how history was made on Sunday: Crazy by Gnarls Barkley went into the UK charts at number 1. Even though it’s not even available in physical shops yet. It’s one of…
Soul Agents
This is on the front of the building across the street from work. I’d love meet one of these estate agents – I really hope that they look like Otis Reading and can sing the particulars in a motown style. But I think it’s just a bad mistake.…
Constant Partial Attention
Interesting article about always being on. It doesn’t say anything massively new really, but I think it neatly crystalises some of the big issues. Not having full concentration on any one thing at a time is something that I’ve been moaning…
I’m going to the US of A
I might not post for a day or two (like that’s unusual!), because I’m going to New York to help judge the OneShow awards. It’s all a bit exciting for me. TTFN.
